Finance lease

JFE National Contracts offer Finance Lease which is ideally suited to business users who want to have all the benefits of owning a vehicle, whilst enjoying the tax benefits normally associated with contract hire. So if using finance lease to fund a commercial vehicle you will get tax relief on 100% of your payment which can be offset against taxable profits.

Finance lease also has the benefit of allowing you to choose a lower monthly payment and pay a lower deposit by opting for a final balloon payment. At the end of the agreement you can sell the vehicle to a third party and keep 100% of the sale proceeds. Most of our customers however opt to have another new vehicle, using any remaining equity towards their deposit. If you choose to pay the final payment, you may use the vehicle for as long as you like, entering in to a secondary rental period and pay a small annual fee of £50 + VAT.

Contract hire

Commonly called an operating lease, customers pay a deposit usually a calculation of three monthly rentals up front, followed by a rental plan of between 18 and 60 months which includes Road Fund Licence and can incorporate all maintenance. Payments can be written off against tax as follows... 

• Commercial vehicles, 100% of payment
• Cars, from April 2009, carbon emissions of company cars now impact on the tax relief available for business

This replaces the current expensive car rule term and will move to a new 15% disallowance for contract hired cars with a c02 figure of 161gkm or above, whilst cars with a c02 figure 160gkm and below will enjoy 100% tax relief on payments.

Hire or lease purchase

Hire Purchase is when an agreed deposit is paid, then further payments are made for an agreed period with an option to purchase fee paid at the end of the agreement, giving you full ownership of the vehicle.  Lease Purchase operates the same as Hire purchase and is used by business users to lower payments by opting for a final balloon payment.
